REMARKS

  • Natural durability : Moderate to durable.
  • Lyctus susceptibility : No
  • Liable to attack by marine borers.
  • Preservative treatment : Resistant
  • Other remarks : – Although commercialized as ACAJOU D’AFRIQUE. K. Grandifoliola
    differs appreciably from the two other species in some of its technological and processing properties.
  • A SAPELLI and SIPO alternative.
  • K. senegalensis (CAILCEDRAT) much heavier should not be considered as an ACAJOU.
